About
Alicia Stokes
I’m Alicia Stokes, Ayurvedic therapist, yoga teacher and naturopath.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve been passionate about caring for others. This desire led me to become a first aider in my teens and then to take a nursing diploma in 2010.
I was able to gain a great deal of experience by starting my career on a temporary basis, so that I could discover the diversity of hospital and out-of-hospital services.
In 2013, I started yoga on the recommendation of a colleague with whom I worked in a prison environment. It was a real discovery for me, who until then had been a fan of combat sports and thrills. The effects of this practice were felt quite quickly and since then I’ve been trying to make it as much a part of my daily life as possible.
A move to Alsace in 2017 gave me the opportunity to retrain professionally.
It was a natural step for me to sign up for the Yoga Teacher Training Course 200h validated by Yoga Alliance International in 2019.
At the same time, I finished my training in naturopathy, aromatherapy and phytotherapy at Plantasanté school.
Since January 2021, I have been training with Michel Remigy, a general practitioner and ayurvedic physician, and Jean-Bernard Remigy, an osteopath, in order to be able to offer you a holistic and quality care thanks to ayurvedic treatments. Since December, I officially am a certified ayurvedic therapist.
A real link was then established between these practices, where physical exercise mixes spirituality, stress and emotion management, nutrition and breathing.
I teach yoga and meditation in groups in Leymen, at Studio7 in Hésingue as well as in Bettlach and Pfetterhouse.
I come to your home in the area of Saint-Louis and the Alsatian Sundgau for your naturopathic consultations, ayurvedic treatments and private yoga/meditation classes.
