Alicia Stokes
I’m Alicia Stokes, an Ayurvedic therapist, and a yoga and meditation teacher.
Since childhood, I’ve always had a deep desire to care for others. This calling led me to become a first responder during my teenage years, and later to earn a nursing degree in 2010.
I gained extensive experience by starting my career as a temp nurse, allowing me to explore the variety of both hospital and non-hospital healthcare services.
In 2013, I began practicing yoga on the recommendation of a colleague I was working with in a prison setting. It was a true revelation for me, as I had previously been drawn to combat sports and adrenaline-filled activities. The effects of the practice quickly became apparent, and since then, I’ve been striving to incorporate it as fully as possible into my daily life.
A move to Alsace in 2017 gave me the opportunity to make a professional career change.
It was only natural for me to enroll in the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in 2019, certified by Yoga Alliance International.
At the same time, I earned diplomas in naturopathy, herbal medicine, and aromatherapy from Plantasanté, a training institute recognized and certified by Qualiopi since 2020 and by ISQ-OPQF since 2016.
Since January 2021, I have been training with Michel Remigy, a general practitioner and Ayurvedic doctor, and Jean-Bernard Remigy, an osteopath, to be able to offer you high-quality, holistic care through Ayurvedic treatments.
A true connection has formed between these practices, where physical exercise blends with spirituality, stress and emotion management, nutrition, and breathing.
I offer home visits in the Saint-Louis area, the Sundgau region of Alsace, as well as in Switzerland, for Ayurvedic treatments, and private yoga/meditation sessions.
